Limousines have an appeal to many people, both private consumers and businesses alike. For the rich, the benefits are fairly obvious. Since they have a large disposable income, they have money to spend on a comfortable mode of transport in which they themselves do not have to drive. In this way, they can sit back, enjoy a drink, watch TV, or even conduct business while en route to their destination. Now they don’t have to deal with the increased stress of traffic. They enjoy the fact that at a moments notice in many cases they can call up their driver to take them where they need to go.

For private renters not of the rich class, they have the appeal of making them feel like the rich class. Since the middle class normally drives themselves or takes public transport like busses, subways or taxis, the idea of riding in a limousine for a change is refreshing. For the eight or so hours of their rental agreement they get to ride around in the style and comfort the rich class gets to enjoy. For special occasions like a high school prom to a wedding, they can make it more memorable and enjoyable experience. The cost of a rental is fairly high, however the occasions that warrant such a rental normally costs a good amount of money anyway, so another charge is a drop in the bucket.

Businesses and government agencies also find uses for such conveyances. In situations such as business trips, using a limousine to transport the upper level executives of large companies is not uncommon. This provides a chance for the company to get their employees where they need to go in a way that gives them reason to enjoy otherwise inconvenient trips. Also they can be used for visiting dignitaries or executives from other companies. This allows the business or agency to show off in a way, or to show good faith to the visitor. Because of this, relations could start off on a good note.
